2022 IN REVIEW
2022 was a busy year at Glenlee! We celebrated the opening of Glenlee Regional Park, hosted a moonlight cinema event and reached major construction milestones. With the festive season coming up, now is a great time to reflect on the past year and all we have achieved as a community.
August saw the opening of Glenlee Regional Park! The park is a new community hub for both Glenlee residents and the wider Geelong community. It features 26 play elements across three different ‘Play Zones’, a BBQ space, plenty of carparks and 170 new trees that complement the area’s existing greenery.
We have enjoyed seeing so many local families enjoying the new space!
Moonlight Cinema Held at Glenlee Regional Park
In November, we held our first event at the newly opened Glenlee Regional Park with an open-air screening of ‘Sing 2’. Current and future residents from our Armstrong Creek Communities – including Glenlee, Haymont and The Reserve – gathered under the stars to watch the smash hit. Residents enjoyed popcorn, fairy floss, a food truck and giant games on site.
Sales and Construction Update
As the year draws to a close, we are proud to share that Glenlee’s construction has progressed well. In Stage 8, practical completion has been achieved, with Statement of Compliance to be received shortly and titles lodged in the new year. In Stage 9, kerb, channel, electrical works are now complete, class 2 layer and asphalting is underway and Statement of Compliance is expected in January. In Stage 10, the Type A layer is complete, Class 3 layer is underway and kerb and channel works will commence in January. While in Stage 11, civil contractors are engaged for full steam ahead in the new year.
